Glad you haven't given up on your dream, just pivoted! I've heard that oftentimes our dreams don't come true in the way we've imagined, but in unexpected ways. I certainly hope this is true for you!

I so relate. God’s had to pry my hands off of some younger “dreams” to make room for newer versions. Versions that don’t seem as glamorous or even fruitful. Yet, when I got a text this week from a podcast listener saying “your episode gave me the courage to embrace this season and truly see the blessings in it,” it was, too, like that gentle nudge from Jesus. How kind He is.❤️

Wow — I relate to this so much, down to the desk in the New York apartment window. Thank you for sharing, new friend. I especially love how you point out that you might be happier in this life than in that old NY pipe dream. I also get a little secretly envious of the people I imagine delving into their creativity in a home all to themselves — maybe a cat or husband too — but no one who needs as much attention as a baby. But I wouldn’t trade my daughter for the world either, and I adore the idea of writing from the couch while my family whirls around the living room. You said it perfectly. <3
